ROME

So, watching HBO's new show ROME and I'm impressed. Fairly historicaly acurate. Rome isn't the glittering clean perfection as it is in some movies. It's organic and has life. The characters are fairly well written and the plot is interesting. My only complaint is the camera style. It's Saving Private Ryanesque. All jerky and stuff. If you are an epileptic, trust me, you'd not like it. :-P But yeah, it's quite good. Even the crucifcations are pretty bang on. :-) I think I'm going to enjoy this show, it doesn't even clean up the orgies. :-)

so my fellow canadian...how are you still getting hbo???
i have to wait until the 30th to see the first episode on tmn.
i'm glad to hear that it's good though, with six feet under being over i need something morose and dramatic to fill my weekly quota.

Then witness the miracle of a web site designed by the lowed bidding monkeys which requires constant session IDs just to get anything at all.

If you are patient eventually that link may show you that ROME is running on the digital movie channels (300 and up) all week long.

LOL! You do eventualy get it right? I'm PVRing it so when I get my media centre PC working properly I can preserve a copy for posterity. :-)

i get it tomorrow night on bev.
i'm also pvr'ing it...i've got season four and five of sfu pvr'd as well as various movies...i should clean it out today.

heh I maxed out my last pvr before it blew out. that's why I got the media centre stuff so I could dump it to DVD just in case. :-)

yeah, i'm thinking that's the next thing to get, but since season four is out on dvd now it might just be cheaper to buy that.

LOL! Yeah, trust me. It is. If you HAVE to replace a computer and you are just really using it for gaming and such it's great otherwise I'd not bother. :-P Just buy the DVD. :-)
